Tree Service in Reston, VA

Reston was planned around its trees, and its wooded clusters, lakes and pathways still put big oaks and poplars close to homes. King Tree Services brings ISA Certified Arborist® (MA-6043A) oversight, tree risk assessments, and a company-owned 75-ton crane for trees that can’t be safely felled between houses.

Reston Association Approval Comes First

Most Reston homes are covered by Reston Association covenants. RA’s Design Review Board must approve removing many live trees on private lots, including ornamental trees like dogwoods and cherries, and many cluster associations add rules of their own. An ISA Certified Arborist’s written assessment helps your application show why a tree should come down, or how it can be saved. Dead or hazardous trees may be handled differently, so check with RA before work starts.

Crane Removal Without Felling

Many Reston clusters share parking courts and narrow common paths, with houses close together. From one setup point, our crane lifts each section over roofs, fences and neighboring yards, and static vertical rigging secures every piece on the line before it’s cut.

What Our Customers Say About Our Tree Services

Real reviews from King Tree Services customers, shown word for word as they appear on Google.

Sisc Johnson Customer

Excellent!!! Edgar and his crew removed a ton of trees, branches, and vines from our 5 acre lot. They are all extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Staff safety and the safety of your property is a top priority for them and it shows. They removed huge branches over our home so this was also a priority of ours. Reasonably priced and they did an excellent job cleaning up after they were done. I have already scheduled to have them come back and do more work. Thanks so much!!

Will Moore Customer

We recently had Kings Tree Services at our house to repoint/repair our mulch bed retaining walls, as well as clear out and refill the mulch beds. They also added a walkway in our backyard which not only looks great but has also helped address the a problem area of our yard that frequently remained muddy. Their services were fantastic and there pricing can't be beat. I would highly recommend their services.

Amber Griffith Customer

Edgar was fantastic to work with! We had a very large tree fall down in a storm and wanted it removed. Within the same day that I called, he came out to assess what needed to be done. I would absolutely recommend using this company for any tree removal service. They did an excellent job, Especially with cleaning up all the debris at the end.

Lakes, Streams and Common Areas

Reston’s lakes (Anne, Thoreau, Audubon and Newport) and its stream valleys mean many lots sit near protected areas. Where a property falls in a Fairfax County Resource Protection Area, the county has to approve tree removal, even for dead or dying trees, and can limit equipment. We identify these constraints, and whether a tree is on your lot or on RA common land, before any work is scheduled.
