Tree Service in Oakton, VA

Oakton takes its name from a landmark oak that once stood where Chain Bridge Road meets Hunter Mill Road, and big trees still define the community. King Tree Services cares for them with ISA Certified Arborist® (MA-6043A) oversight, tree risk assessments, and a company-owned 75-ton crane for trees too large, or too close to the house, to fell.

Mature Oaks and Poplars on Wooded Oakton Lots

Many Oakton homes sit on wooded lots along roads like Hunter Mill and Vale, under oaks and tulip poplars that have outgrown the houses built beneath them. When one of those trees starts to decline, the question isn’t only whether it should come down. It’s how to remove it without damaging your roof, driveway or the trees you want to keep.

What Our Customers Say About Our Tree Services

Real reviews from King Tree Services customers, shown word for word as they appear on Google.

Sisc Johnson Customer

Excellent!!! Edgar and his crew removed a ton of trees, branches, and vines from our 5 acre lot. They are all extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Staff safety and the safety of your property is a top priority for them and it shows. They removed huge branches over our home so this was also a priority of ours. Reasonably priced and they did an excellent job cleaning up after they were done. I have already scheduled to have them come back and do more work. Thanks so much!!

Will Moore Customer

We recently had Kings Tree Services at our house to repoint/repair our mulch bed retaining walls, as well as clear out and refill the mulch beds. They also added a walkway in our backyard which not only looks great but has also helped address the a problem area of our yard that frequently remained muddy. Their services were fantastic and there pricing can't be beat. I would highly recommend their services.

Amber Griffith Customer

Edgar was fantastic to work with! We had a very large tree fall down in a storm and wanted it removed. Within the same day that I called, he came out to assess what needed to be done. I would absolutely recommend using this company for any tree removal service. They did an excellent job, Especially with cleaning up all the debris at the end.

Fairfax County Rules, Not Town Rules

Oakton is unincorporated Fairfax County, so the Town of Vienna’s tree conservation ordinance doesn’t apply here, but county rules do. Northern Oakton drains to Difficult Run. Where a lot falls inside a Chesapeake Bay Resource Protection Area, the county has to approve tree removal, even for dead or dying trees, and can limit equipment. We check this before we schedule any work. If your address is inside the Town of Vienna, different rules apply: see our Vienna page.
