How Edgar Plans a Job

Every estimate starts with the tree, not the saw. Edgar looks at the species, structure, defects and what sits underneath — the house, driveway, fence or utility line — and then recommends the least invasive option that solves the problem: pruning, cabling, monitoring or removal. Customers regularly mention in their reviews that he recommended keeping a tree they expected to lose.

When removal is the right call, the estimate spells out the method: climbing and static rigging, or our company-owned 75-ton crane with AlturnaMATS® ground protection for large trees over structures. Any crane cost is written into your estimate before work starts, along with cleanup and stump grinding.

Tree Risk Assessments

As a TRAQ-qualified arborist, Edgar can document how likely a tree is to fail, what it could hit and the options to reduce that risk. Fairfax County, for example, does not assess hazardous trees on private property and recommends that owners consult a certified arborist instead — which is exactly what a risk assessment provides.
